Petra is an incredibly popular tourist destination that attracts millions of visitors from across the globe. It is celebrated for its elaborate and monumental structures intricately carved into sandstone cliffs, such as the iconic Treasury and the Monastery. The most recognizable structure is the Treasury, which gained fame decades ago through the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
What many do not realize is that Petra is a vast and sprawling ancient city. Most of its remnants lie hidden underground and remain unexcavated. There is an abundance of sights to behold and an exciting wealth of discoveries still awaiting us in Petra.
While many visitors explore Petra without a guide or opt for inexperienced guides available at the Visitor Center, our guides are seasoned and licensed professionals who grew up in the vicinity and possess an intimate knowledge of the region. They will help you fully appreciate the wonders of Petra.
