We partner with licensed tour operators. They are native to the Middle East, and they are knowledgable of the Exodus story and professionals in the travel business.
It is a very strenous hike. Climbing up to the peak(s) and back can take 6-8 hours. Climbing up to Elijah's Cave and back can take 3-5 hours up. There is not an established path, and there will be some scrambling and bouldering. Climbing equipment is not required. It is advised to be in good physical shape before attempting to climb Mount Sinai, and all our tours provide a local guide for the climb for an extra layer of safety.
Yes, we can accommodate groups where some want to climb Mount Sinai while others want to explore around the base of the mountain.
Travelling to Saudi Arabia is safe for tourists, except for certain regions near the border with Yemen. All the Exodus sites are in the NW corner of Saudi Arabia in the NEOM region. The Neom region is generally a more safe corner of the country because the Saudi government is focused on developing it for rapid economic development and tourism. Check the US State Department for the latest information.
The weather can be very hot in the summer. The best season for visiting Saudi Arabia and Jordan is between October and April.
Yes, tourist visas are required. We are happy to assist wtih tourist visa acquistition.
No, the COVID vaccine is not required to travel to the Middle East.
